Nicole Lavin – Clinical Director

Nicole is a passionate physiotherapist who is driven to improve the rehabilitation journey of her patients, through providing person centred physiotherapy intervention.

Nicole qualified from The University of Bradford in 2004 and spent her early career working in rotational junior and senior posts within the NHS. She specialised in Adult Neurological Rehabilitation following a Movement Science Approach and completed her MSc at The University of Nottingham in Neurological Physiotherapy in 2012.

Nicole worked within acute and community neurological services for adults and helped to develop Stroke services in Leicestershire and in West Yorkshire. She continues to work on the Expert Panel for the Stroke charity A Stroke of Luck.

Nicole is also extremely enthusiastic towards student education and completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education in 2016 to go on to lead the undergraduate Neurological Physiotherapy teaching at The University of Bradford for seven years. Within this time Nicole also set up the UK’s first University Student Supervised Neurological Physiotherapy Clinic.

Nicole is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and of the specialist interest group ACPIN (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology).

Nicole’s special interests are, Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Functional Neurological Disorder, Dementia and Adult Movement Disorders.
