Gemma is a highly specialist Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience working in the NHS, predominantly in the area of community rehabilitation.

With a wealth of experience in Neurology and elderly care Gemma provides holistic and person centered care. She has a special interest in neurological conditions and is experienced in treating and managing conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Functional Neurological Disorders, Parkinson’s Disease and Stroke.

As an Occupational Therapist Gemma is trained in the assessment and treatment of both physical and cognitive difficulties. Occupational Therapists excel in supporting individuals with the self management of their condition, and for example, may advise on fatigue management or suggest compensatory strategies.

Gemma enjoys working with individuals and their families to establish meaningful goals and is happy to advise on manual handling, equipment provision and specialist seating. Through her NHS experience Gemma has strong links with a host of equipment suppliers and can support with sign posting individuals that may wish to purchase items privately with advice.

Gemma is a proud member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and is also a member of the specialist sections for neurological and independent practice.
