How much does treatment cost?

To discuss fees, please contact the practice. Different fee scales apply at the practice and during home visits, with and without a physiotherapy assistant, and with invoiced and non-invoiced treatment and length of treatment session.


Do you only treat people who have had a stroke?

Leeds Neurophysiotherapy also treats people with a wide variety of other neurological conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis, head injuries, Parkinson's Disease, spinal injuries, Motor Neurone Disease and Guillain-Barré Syndrome.


Do you accept private health insurance?

Leeds Neurophysiotherapy is registered with most of the major private health insurance companies. For more details, please visit the payment page.


Can I pay by credit or debit card?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Please visit the payment page for more information.


From whom do you accept referrals?

We accept referrals from any source including self-referrals, referrals from family and carers, referrals from GP’s, other allied health professionals and referrals from case managers and solicitors.


What should I bring to the first appointment?

It may be useful to bring details of any medication and medical details which may be appropriate to your condition.


If you need to use a hoist, for your own safety, please bring your own sling.


What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. It may be useful to bring a pair of shorts to your physiotherapy session.


Can my family members or carers stay during treatment?

Family and carers are welcome and encouraged to attend sessions with the patient’s consent.


How long will treatment take?

The one hour initial assessment includes discussion and physical assessment. Findings from the initial assessment will give a basis for discussion of treatment options, including number of sessions, working towards agreed goals. Once your course of physiotherapy treatment has finished, review appointments are offered as required.


Is there car parking at the practice?

Off street parking is available at the practice.


Is the practice wheelchair accessible?

Yes, there is wheelchair access at the practice.

Can you visit me at home?

Treatment can also be carried out at home or a nursing home to accommodate your needs; we cover most of Leeds areas, along with towns to the north-west of the city, such as Yeadon, Guiseley and Menston. Home visits allow the physiotherapist to assess the difficulties that you are experiencing with everyday activities in more detail.
